Leadership
Director and Project Manager
ImPRint Communications

While studying, I work for ImPRint Communications, LSU’s student‑run public relations firm, where I serve as director, project manager and client coordinator. In this role, I manage and organize meetings with student employees and collaborators to discuss current and upcoming projects.

At the start of the semester, I led the process of building my team. I created job listings to attract qualified students, reviewed applications, selected candidates who best fit the roles and conducted brief interviews. I planned this process independently with oversight from a faculty advisor. The experience taught me how much strategy goes into hiring and sparked my interest in that area of the field.
As a member of the team, I also serve as a public relations coordinator. I handle research, planning, implementation and evaluation for campaigns, branding projects and other client needs. Although we primarily work with smaller organizations within the university, I take pride in what we accomplish as a team and as a firm committed to delivering what our clients want. As of Spring 2026, we have recruited four new team members to join ImPRint.
Social Media Manager
Aware Self-Defense Non-Profit Organization
Aware Self‑Defense is a nonprofit organization made up of individuals who are committed to teaching self‑defense and educating the community on how to live safely.

In my role as social media manager, I began by building their digital presence from the ground up. I redesigned and relaunched the organization’s website to ensure it clearly reflected its mission and services. My goal was to create a central hub for anyone interested in connecting with the organization, including investors, potential students and community members seeking information. I worked closely with the director to include all essential content, such as instructor profiles, event and class listings, and a dedicated page for support and resources.I also launched the organization’s Instagram and Facebook pages to promote classes through graphics, calendars and instructional videos. A major focus of my content strategy was sharing situational awareness tips and safety information. I designed posts, infographics, fliers and business cards to support outreach efforts and increase visibility at events.

This experience taught me the logistics behind promoting nonprofit work and reinforced the importance of outreach, accessibility and consistent messaging.

Assistant Event Coordinator
LSU Division of Engagement, Civil Rights & Title IX

As part of my student worker role, I serve as a personal aide to the director of engagement. Through this position, I contribute to projects that support engagement across the university. The Division of Engagement oversees several engagement centers on LSU’s campus, and each one requires consistent collaboration and communication. I help connect these centers by providing logistical support and facilitating coordination.

My responsibilities include attending meetings, contributing to project planning and timelines, brainstorming ideas, designing event advertisements and supporting cross‑departmental communication. One of our major initiatives is National First‑Generation Celebration Week, a monthlong series of events held each November. I helped design informational materials for pamphlets and other promotional deliverables, and I contacted LSU alumni to encourage their participation. I also contributed ideas for student giveaways and event swag while collaborating with directors and team members during planning meetings.

This experience has given me a unique and rewarding opportunity to participate in university‑wide event planning.
Customer Experience Manager
Michael's
I am also currently employed with Michael’s craft store and serve as Customer Experience Manager. In this role I do much of the same when it comes to team management. I make sure to coordinate shift rotations as well as make sure everyone is doing well and staying on top of their assignments.
In retail things can get pretty hectic pretty quickly so it is necessary to be quick and adaptive to ensure the store runs smoothly and our customers are taken care of and satisfied. While it may be crazy at times, I am thankful for the opportunity since it has truly shown me how to be a leader under pressure and how to deal with uncomfortable situations. There are many decisions I have to take to make sure my team does their best work, as well as ensuring Michael's mission to fuel creativity.
Thanks to these skills I am able to help customers more effectively as well as support my team.
